Marin County Moms Hosting “Swingsets and Trampolines” Party from Roof of Marin County Civic Center

MCM has announced the location of the upcoming Swingsets and Trampolines Party.  The beautiful, Frank Lloyd Wright, Marin County Civic Center roof.  Children 6 months to 17 11/12 years are encouraged to attend.  Hours 10AM to 4PM.

MCM Weekly Group Leader, Sunshine Rain-Dharma said,

“We’re taking it up a notch this month.  As a matter of fact we are taking it up about 80 feet.  Ha ha!”  “Normally, we have the kids swing really high, bail out, and try to hit the trampoline at one of our group-members back yards.  But with all of the Harsh from the Anti: brain trauma/internal injury/broken bone Medical Industry and Big Medicine, we decided ….. excuse me… WHAT NOW, Aurora Ashton?!  Okay! OKAY.  I decided to hold the event here.”

The location is sure to draw the ire of doctors and ambulance drivers in San Francisco area. MCM Weekly Group Leader, Sunshine Rain-Dharma was nonplussed.

“This is done by us with Informed Consent.  Everyone knows you can’t defeat gravity you can see examples of failures every day..  Gravity safety is not “settled science,” as we have been hearing repeatedly in the media. “Gravity” is just a theory.  You can’t show me a piece of gravity.  Can you?  Huh?  Huh?”

Noted fabulists and Science Communicator Neil deGrasse Tyson said,

“Not enough of our society is trained how to understand and interpret quantitative information. This activity is a centerpiece of science literacy to which we should all strive — the future health, wealth, and security of our democracy depend on it. Until that is achieved, we are at risk of making under-informed decisions that affect ourselves, our communities, our country, and even the world.”

MCM Weekly Group Leader, Sunshine Rain-Dharma was unimpressed,

“Neil-shmeal.  MCM and millions of other groups like ours, around the whole world …. probably the whole galaxy … knows the adverse affects of gravity.  We have just decided to expose our children proactively.  They’re going to fall.  They are going to break bones.  They are going to get concussions.  We defend the ethical principle of informed consent to concussion/contusions because gravity carries a risk of injury, death and failure, and because informed consent to medical risk taking is the central ethical principle guiding the ethical practice of medicine.  Besides, we are almost doctors because we are all…. Doctor Mom.”

MCM plans an event next month dealing with hypothermia and fatal shark bites, with their March Madness “Everyone Swim for The Rock” in San Francisco Bay.
