What you get when a native New Yorker reviews activites ‘West of the Hudson’

‘On Any Sunday’ avoids the real issue with motorcycles (NY Post review)

Likable as they are, there’s a lot of issue-avoidance here. There is only late, glancing acknowledgment that most motorcycles run on fossil fuels, cause noise pollution, and erode the soil on those scenic rides through our nation’s wilderness.
The single theme is “Isn’t this cool?” And if your response is, “Well, it’s certainly loud,” then “On Any Sunday” probably isn’t for you.

“issue-avoidance” ?  Is this a movie review or psychotherapy?

Oooooohh— gasoline and dirt and ….ugh…. sounds that are definitely NOT the lovely melody of Bettie Davis’ voice.

This is a cliche-come-to-life.  N’est-ce pas, Farran?
