Simon » Islam Needs an Intervention

To say that something is decidedly wrong in the Islamic world is a monumental understatement. And Muslim societies make almost no serious effort to correct themselves, ricocheting back and forth between military totalitarianism and religious totalitarianism while — like that family heroin addict — blaming everyone but themselves for their fate.

In Stealth Announcement, McAuliffe Ends Campaign for Virginia Governor

In the section titled “Investing in Virginia’s Urban Centers,” now contains the heading, “Support Common Sense Gun Control Measures.”
Under that heading, it says McAuliffe “will support mainstream and majority supported gun control measures like universal background checks, limiting the size of magazines, and a return to the 1-gun-per-month rule.”

Once similar gun control measures passed in Colorado, upset citizens successfully recalled two State Senators behind the legislation within months.

U.S. Army Set to Ban Tattoos Below the Elbow or Knees

Do they plan to write all inclusive rules for these reviews?  The US courts systems still cannot answer these questions.  Going to be some good people removed from the services.  Some will just leave in disgust, after being ‘counseled’ about ‘that tattoo of your wife in her bikini’ or something similar.  Honestly, beside the busybodies, who gives a crap?

(b) Indecent tattoos or brands are those that are grossly offensive to modesty, decency, or propriety; shock the moral sense because of their vulgar, filthy, or disgusting nature or tendency to incite lustful thought; or tend reasonably to corrupt morals or incite libidinous thoughts.

What. A. Fucking. Surprise. Kenya Mall Murders

‘…we are the religion of peace! And we will kill you if you are not a believer.’

All were fleeing the bloody massacre unfolding around them as they saw terrified fellow shoppers mercilessly executed after being singled out as non-Muslim.

Men, women and children were lined up and then gunned down with AK-47s after failing to name the Prophet Mohammed’s mother or recite passages from the Koran – sure-fire proof they were ‘kafirs’, or non-believers.

Greg Aldous, from New Zealand, told how he hid in a box and watched a man being gunned down 30ft away from him. He said the terrorists ‘were coming in through the front, they were coming in through the back and we were just sitting ducks’.

He added: ‘These are Islamic fundamentalist nutcases. They just shot and killed anybody. They are horrible.’

He eventually escaped under the cover of darkness to a lorry-loading depot where people were panicking and screaming.

‘My instinct was to hide and I jumped into a large box containing supermarket cartons and hid there,’ he said. ‘I only survived the massacre because I kept out of sight.

‘If they had found me… I’m white, so I’m dead. They’re not even going to think twice. They hate your skin colour.’ Radio presenter Saadia Ahmed was one of the 1,000 who managed to flee. She said: ‘I witnessed a few people get up and say something in Arabic and the gunmen let them go.

Child-murdering, innocent-slaughtering, barbarian, coward, mohammedans.  <sigh>

Michelle’s Healthy Eating Inquisition

‘Don’t make Mo angry.  You no like Mo when she angry.’

The government’s appetite for power over our lives is an inexorably increasing desire that grows with every lump of freedom it is fed.

…it vastly expands the assumption on the part of bureaucrats that they have the right to extend their puny, stubby hands into our business.

My school now thinks it is in charge of what I give my children to eat. That’s Michelle Obama’s work.

Congress: Hillary’s Benghazi Investigation a Whitewash

“The ARB blamed systemic failures and leadership and management deficiencies within two bureaus, but downplayed the importance of decisions made at senior levels of the Department. Witnesses questioned how much these decisions influenced the weaknesses that led to the inadequate security posture in Benghazi,” the report stated. “The ARB’s decision to cite certain officials as accountable for what happened in Benghazi appears to have been based on factors that had little or no connection to the security posture at U.S. diplomatic facilities in Libya.”

WTF?? CFPB’s surveillance of consumer credit cards challenged

At Wednesday’s hearing, Cordray refused to answer questions from committee members about Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) relationship with the trustee program.

“We don’t typically comment on the details of enforcement matters,” he said, though he acknowledged that the bureau is “working with a number of different agencies, including the Justice Department, to carry out our responsibilities and we will try to do that.” The trustee program is part of the Department of Justice.

Wisconsin’s third-largest school district vote no to union

[Democrats] understood two things from the beginning: The reforms would work and they would thin the ranks of public sector unions. That is precisely what happened. Public sector employees, given a choice about union membership, are opting out.

In the two years since Walker’s plan became law, tens of thousands of teachers and state and local workers have dropped out of their unions, according to a Journal Sentinel analysis of little-used federal financial records.

Let’s Drink to Phasing Out the First Lady

Can we please make it stop? And by it, I don’t just mean Mrs. Obama’s seemingly non-stop nagging and noodging about our weight. In 2010, she transformed the South Lawn into a fitness boot camp for the White House Easter Egg Roll. And I don’t just mean her high-profile faux pas, such as when she showed up to dish out food to the homeless while sporting a pair of $540 sneakers. Or her pricey Christmas displays whose extravagance calls to mind both Marie Antoinette and Nancy Reagan.

Ugh. 8-year-old Yemeni girl dies from internal injuries on wedding night

Yemeni and Kuwaiti activists have called for police to arrest the girl’s husband and family and to put an end to the practice of marrying young girls, Gulf News said.

“Her family and her groom could have waited for some time before having this marriage,” wrote on blogger, who goes by the name “Sad.” “It was not fair at all and the marriage should not have happened even if some tribes believe that it is a good custom.”

Citizen Militias battle against a drug cartel

These militia would be in Mexico.  The citizens are tired of the self-appointed tyrants.  Black market ‘rules’ are anarchy.

Self-defense forces gather in Coalcoman, Mexico. In Tepalcatepac and Coalcoman, the movement began with whispers and secret meetings. “We would ask, ‘Are we going to live this way our whole lives or what?’ ” said Jose Misael Gonzalez, a sawmill owner from Coalcoman.

Neeley: Lack of hurricanes furthers debate, and improves science

The Chron ‘headline’ blows {…wait for it……}

For the first time in 11 years, August came and went without a single hurricane forming in the Atlantic. The last intense hurricane (Category 3 or above) to hit the United States was Hurricane Wilma, in 2005. According to Phil Klotzbach, head of Colorado State University’s seasonal hurricane forecast, accumulated cyclone energy is 70 percent below normal this year.
